Fancy some child-free Christmas shopping and supporting a worthy cause at the same time? To celebrate its silver anniversary, on Sunday 13th December, the Emer Halpenny School of Drama in Stillorgan is holding an Open Festive Fun Day sponsored by Flogas Natural Gas in aid of the LauraLynn Hospice.
Drop your children aged between 4 and 12 years to St. Laurence’s Parish Centre in Stillorgan (beside St. Laurence’s Church) for either a morning or afternoon session of festive fun and games. There’s no booking necessary and they’re open to everyone. In return, all you have to do is make a €10 donation into the LauraLynn bucket.
Owner Emer Halpenny said, “Everyone’s very excited and thanks to Flogas Natural Gas, everyone will get the chance to sit in Santa’s sleigh and have their photo taken for a magical Christmas memory. Most of the older teens in our Youth Theatre are dressing up for the whole day to help the teachers out. We promise lots of festive fun with plenty of ice-breaker and confidence booster games, all designed to put even shyer children at ease.”
The Emer Halpenny School of Drama has been building confidence in children, teenagers and adults since 1990. As well as drama classes for children aged 4 – 14, it also has a youth theatre section for teenagers aged 14-19 and classes tailored for those with special needs.
The Festive Fun Day sessions sponsored by Flogas Natural Gas run from 11.30 – 1 pm and 2.00-3.30 p.m. on Sunday 13th December. For more info, go to www.emerhalpenny.com or Facebook or tweet @EmerDrama
