Final phase of Leopardstown roundabout reconfiguration & signalisation

We wish to bring to your attention some very important information on the final phase of the Leopardstown roundabout reconfiguration which is scheduled for completion in March 2016. Signalisation of the junction is scheduled to commence on Tuesday 2nd February 2016.

Please see the significant traffic management plans and changes provided by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council (DLRCoCo) which include the permanent ban on two right turn movements:

Sandyford Business District to Leopardstown Road West

Traffic from the Sandyford Business Park will access Leopardstown Road West via the Burton Hall Link Road as it will not be possible to take a right turn on the new reconfigured junction at the existing roundabout when signalisation commences on 2nd February (see maps on link above).

Leopardstown Road East to Brewery Road

1.     Traffic on Torquay Road, Brighton Road etc. will access Brewery Road via Westminster Road and Stillorgan Road

2.     Traffic in Leopardstown Park Hospital, South County Business Park, Leopardstown Race Course & Tudor Lawns will access Brewery Road via Leopardstown Avenue

3.     Traffic on Leopardstown Road East, east of Leopardstown Avenue will access Brewery Road via Stillorgan Road

Road works to date have primarily related to the arterial routes but this schedule of works specifically relates to the removal/reconfiguration of the roundabout itself.

Also included is information for pedestrians and cyclists
