ABOUT
Foxrock is a leafy suburb in South County Dublin situated between the sea at Dún Laoghaire and the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, approximately 12 km from Dublin city.
Foxrock Area Community & Enterprise CLG (FACE), was originally formed in 2002 to focus on planning issues, was restructured and ‘rebranded’ in 2012 to reflect the broader remit it is responsible for including the four ‘pillars’ below:
To conserve the distinctive character of Foxrock and seek to influence planning to protect its heritage.
To promote and support businesses in Foxrock village and to encourage residents to shop locally.
To maintain and improve the local environment and ensure Foxrock is an attractive place to live, work and visit.
GOVERNANCE
The board comprises six volunteer directors: John Cody (Chair), Jane Bowes, Gillian Kelly, Sheila Moore, Fiona O’Connor and David Spicer. In addition, Jeannette Mee manages the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.
FUNDING
FACE is solely funded by annual subscriptions from residents and businesses together with grants from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council towards environmental projects, community events etc.
MEMBERSHIP
The annual membership is €75 per home.
